PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scrap box device and a cleaning method, by which scraps or the like falling on the bottom surface of a scrap box can be removed easily.;SOLUTION: In a scrap box device 1 provided with a tray 21, which stores scraps falling from a plate material processing position in a plate material processing machine, so as to move into and from a scrap box 3, the scrap box 3 and the tray 21 are provided long corresponding to the length of the plate material processing position and also the tray 21 is included so as to move into and from the scrap box 3 in the longitudinal direction of the scrap box 3. A plurality of long-sock members 33, which are provided with rising parts 33B on both side parts, are arranged in contact with each other in the longitudinal direction on the bottom part of the scrap box 3, and each long-sock member 33 is included so as to be taken out of one end side in the longitudinal direction of the scrap box 3. On one end side in the longitudinal direction of the scrap box 3, a cover member 17 is included so as to be opened and closed or so as to be removed, and the rising parts 33B of each long-sock member 33 are brought into close contact with the opposed inside surfaces 3A in the scrap box 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
