PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical information retrieval support device capable of retrieving a medical record in which an input disease name (input disease name) is described when the disease name is input and also a medical record having other disease name (associated disease name) described to which the same prescription and treatment as prescription and treatment for the input disease name are applied, and further to provide a medical information retrieval support system.SOLUTION: A medical information retrieval support device comprises: an input section 11 to which a retrieval keyword for retrieving medical information becoming a retrieval object is input; an associated disease name acquisition section 12 for obtaining an associated disease name associated with a disease name by analyzing an execution information database 2 that associates execution information of prescription and treatment for a patient with the disease name and stores the execution information associated therewith; a medical information retrieval section 13 for retrieving medical information stored in a medical information database 3 on the basis of the retrieval keyword and the associated disease name; and a display section 14 for displaying the medical information retrieved.
