PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem associated with a conventional method of producing an aluminum material for an electrolytic capacitor occurring upon dissolving a surface layer of an aluminum material by washing, that the etching characteristics of an aluminum material subsequent to its final annealing are insufficient since the surface layer of the aluminum material is unevenly dissolved.;SOLUTION: The method of producing an aluminum material for an electrode of an electrolytic capacitor comprising successively subjecting an aluminum material to processes of cold rolling, intermediate annealing, finish cold rolling and final annealing, is characterized by carrying out the intermediate annealing in an oxidative environment and removing the surface layer of the aluminum material by washing subsequent to the process of finish cold rolling and prior to the process of final annealing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
