PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inducing differentiation of lung and airway epithelial cells from human pluripotent stem cells (hPSC).;SOLUTION: A population of cells enriched for lung and airway epithelial cells is isolated. A population of cells enriched for cells committed to a lineage of lung field is isolated. The cells in the population of cells express NKX2.1, FOXP2, GATA6, P63, mucin5ac, mucin2, mucin5b, FOXJ1, acetylated tubulin+, CC-10, pro-SPC, SPB, mucin1, lysozyme, lectin DBA, podoplanin+, aquaporin1+, lectin RCA120+, or a combination thereof.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
