PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of controlling developer leakage between a pressing member and seal member.;SOLUTION: A developing device (developing cartridge 100) comprises; a developing roller 120 for supporting developer; a body 110 for supporting the developing roller 120; a plate-like member 141; a pressing member 142 provided on a free end of the plate-like member 141 in a shape convexed toward the developing roller 120; a layer thickness regulating blade 140 for regulating thickness of the developer by the pressing member 142 slidably contacting with the developing roller 120; and a seal member 150 facing both ends of the developing roller 120. The seal member 150 is arranged between the developing roller 120 and the plate-like member 141 on the longitudinal outside of the pressing member 142 and includes a projection part 153 projecting to the plate-like member 141.
