PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a countermeasure enabling defects of an advanced technology to be overcome, by avoiding vibration risk of a rotor and stator assembly.;SOLUTION: This invention relates to a cylindrical casing 110 for a turbo-machine suitable for receiving a rotor attached with at least one wheel 20 with a blade. The casing 110 includes a device 120 for preventing instability when the casing 110 and the wheel with the blade contact. The device is characteristically arranged over the outer periphery of the casing 110, and two adjacent elements 122 and 124 have a series of elements 122 and 124 presenting different rigidity, and the number of elements 122 and 124 having the same rigidity is not equal to magnification of a wave number of a vibration mode of the wheel with the blade to be suppressed.
