PRODUCTION OF CARBON FIBERS AND RAW YARNS THEREOF, AND PRE-OXIDATION FIBERS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide production of carbon fibers that reduce environmental pollution and are suitable for industrial manufacturing, having manufactured fibers with the improved strength.SOLUTION: The highly strong carbon fibers are obtained in such a manner that to the sonicated mixture of carboxylated multilayer carbon nanotubes in a solvent, a polymer thickener was added, after further ultrasonic treatment, the mixture was sprayed onto the pre-oxidized spinning fibers by electrostatic spray to form a coat layer with the thickness of 100-300 nm in the following conditions: spray voltage 80-120 Kv; spray distance 25-40 cm; the revolution of the spray gun 2800-3000 r/min, and the formed coat layer was then carbonized.
