PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely estimate deterioration and service life of a battery.SOLUTION: The battery deterioration and service life estimation method calculates a future deterioration estimation value after the day of first charge using a deterioration master data with respect to a secondary battery having a deterioration ratio R at a point X days have elapsed after the battery first charge. A deterioration master data is identified using the conditions of calculating temperature T and calculating charge and a discharge depth S. Using the identified deterioration master data, the number of elapse days Xcorr in which deterioration ratio R is given is calculated. Thus, the deterioration estimation value after (Xcorr+Y) days have elapsed from the first charge which is identified from the deterioration master data is calculated.
