PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnosis system of a disk array device for recovering from a failure in any of lanes in a cable, without interrupting normal processing, and to provide a failure diagnosis method, a failure diagnosis program, and a disk device. PSOLUTION: The failure diagnosis system of a disk array device includes a plurality of disk devices connected mutually by the cables including a plurality of lanes, and a plurality of cables. When a failure occurs in any one of a plurality of cables, the disk devices holding the abnormal cable perform failure diagnosis for identifying a suspicious lane which is very likely to be a cause of the cable failure.
