PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a course evaluation device and a course evaluation method capable of performing a course evaluation with a traffic flow taken into consideration by evaluating a course on the basis of similarity between a standard track obtained by standardizing a moving track of a preceding vehicle and a course candidate of a self vehicle.;SOLUTION: A course evaluation device 1 according to the present invention includes: a course candidate generating section 11 for generating a course candidate R of a self vehicle M; a moving track information acquiring section 12 for acquiring moving track information relating to a moving track K of a preceding vehicle on a traveling road of the self vehicle M; a standard track calculation section 14 for calculating a standard track H obtained by standardizing the moving track K of the preceding vehicle on the basis of the moving track information; a similarity calculation section 15 for calculating similarity between the course candidate R of the self vehicle M and the standard track H; and a course evaluation section 18 for evaluating the course candidate R of the self vehicle M on the basis of the similarity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
