PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an amplitude-controlled substantially sinusoidal current flow in induction heating coils without changing a power source voltage.;SOLUTION: An induction heating apparatus 100 comprises: induction heating coils 11, 12, 13; capacitors 21, 22, 23 respectively connected with the induction heating coils in series; reverse conversion devices 30, 35, 31 applying a high frequency voltage converted from a direct current voltage to a series resonant circuit of the induction heating coil and the capacitor; and a control circuit 50 controlling the reverse conversion devices. The control circuit PWM-controls an output voltage of the reverse conversion device such that a time integration value of an output current of the reverse conversion device converges to a target sinusoidal current. Further, the control circuit calculates an average value of the output current by setting a synchronization control time constant to be longer than a resonance time constant (T=2L/R) in the case of using a cold charge.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
