APEX1 as a marker of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

The present invention relates to in vitro methods that can help in the evaluation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (= COPD). It discloses the use as a marker protein for COPD APEX1. Specifically, by measuring the in vitro protein APEX1 in a sample from an individual, it relates to a method for evaluating the COPD than that of the sample.
