PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and an information processing method that achieve authentication without burdening a user more nor holding authentication information on registered users on a server side.;SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus includes registration information reception means of receiving registration information transmitted from a client; URL generation means of generating a URL including registration information; URL reporting means of reporting the URL to the client; log-in URL processing means of receiving the URL from the client and displaying a log-in screen corresponding to the URL to the client, and also extracting the registration information from the URL; authentication request reception means of receiving an authentication request including second registration information transmitted from the client; and authentication execution means of determining whether the client is successfully authenticated from whether the registration information matches the second registration information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
