PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for producing polystyrene particles having a positive zeta potential, which can be suitably used in manufacturing hollow inorganic oxide fine particles with suppressed formation of surface holes.;SOLUTION: The method of producing polystyrene particles having a positive zeta potential includes polymerization reaction of styrene monomers in a solution containing a cationic initiator, the styrene monomers, and a solvent. The cationic initiator is at least one kind selected from the group consisting of benzoyl peroxide, 2,2'-azobis(isobutyramidine)dihydrochloride, 4,4'-azobis-4-cyanovaleric acid, azobisisobutyronitrile, and 2,2'-azobis(2-methylpropioamide)dihydrochloride.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
