PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a grating made from a colored stainless steel which has uniform gloss, is filled with a quality appearance and has a high rust prevention effect, and to provide the grating made from the colored stainless steel obtained through the manufacturing method.;SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the grating made from the colored stainless steel includes the sequential steps of: electropolishing the grating made from stainless steel; and anodizing the electropolished grating to thereby form a colored film on the grating surface part. In the electrolytic polishing step, a smooth surface with a surface roughness of 0.5-3 nm can be formed by dissolving the surface part of the grating by 5-15 μm toward the inner direction. The potential of the anode in the anodizing step can be raised by 5-35 mV, and the raising speed of the potential can be controlled to 1-2 mV/min.
