PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of predicting the hygrothermal aging behaviors of a polyester resin, with which the hygrothermal aging behaviors of the polyester resin can be easily and accurately predicted.;SOLUTION: The method of predicting the hygrothermal aging behaviors of the polyester resin includes steps of: (1) determining a hydrolysis reaction rate constant ko of the polyester resin under standard conditions; (2) determining a hydrolysis reaction rate constant ktm in the case that temperature conditions change from the standard conditions to create a calibration curve 1 of a temperature coefficient Ct (ktm/ko); (3) determining a hydrolysis reaction rate constant khn in the case that relative humidity conditions change from the standard conditions to create a calibration line 2 of a humidity coefficient Ch (khn/ko); (4) reading the temperature coefficient Ctx and the humidity coefficient Chx for the conditions with which the hygrothermal aging behaviors should be predicted, respectively from the calibration line 1 and the calibration line 2; (5) reading the temperature coefficient Cty and the humidity coefficient Chy in the standard conditions, respectively from the calibration line 1 and the calibration line 2; and (6) multiplying the exposure time of data regarding relation between an exposure time and specific physical properties measured in the standard conditions by (Cty×Chy)/(Ctx×Chx) to obtain data for predicting hygrothermal aging.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
