PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press forming die for an optical lens, in which a stress caused in a lens material at a release is reduced, and the generation of glass sticking upon fabrication is controlled.;SOLUTION: The press forming die for the optical lens for forming a diffraction lens 601 that has two or more orbicular zones 101a of a concentric circle includes: a diffraction effect transfer surface 102 for forming a diffraction effect surface 12 to diffract a light of diffraction lens 601; and a level difference transfer surface 103 for forming a level difference surface 13 that connects the adjacent diffraction effect surfaces 12 of the diffraction lens 601 to each other.
