PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a plated metal strip, which can maintain a quality equal to that of a conventional one, even when forming a plated film while moving a metal strip at a high speed, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.;SOLUTION: The apparatus 10 for manufacturing the plated metal strip includes: a plating tank 12 for storing a plating bath 11 of a molten metal therein; a sink roll 13 which is provided in the plating tank 12 and turns the metal strip 14 that has entered into the plating bath 11; a support roll 15 in the bath for supporting the metal strip 14 in the bath; gas-blowing means 16 and 17 which are arranged at an upper part of the plating tank 12 and adjust the plated amount of the molten metal deposited on the front and back of the metal strip 14; and a pair of molten metal squeeze rolls 18 and 19 placed in the lower position of the gas-blowing means. The method for manufacturing the plated metal strip includes removing the excess molten metal which has deposited on the front and back of the steel strip 14 and is raised together with the strip by using the molten metal squeeze rolls 18 and 19 which have been arranged so as to be completely immersed in the plating bath 11, before transporting the metal strip 14 to the gas-blowing means 16 and 17.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
