PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing time and improving yield for collecting a charged entity such as nucleic acid by magnetic fine particles with surfaces modified by temperature-responsive polymers having a higher critical solution temperature.;SOLUTION: The method to collect a charged entity in specimens includes: a process to mix an adsorbent, where magnetic fine particles with surfaces modified by temperature-responsive polymers having a higher critical solution temperature and a material having affinity to the charged entity are combined, with a specimen containing the charged entity to make the charged entity adsorbed to the adsorbent, and to mix it further to polyalkylene glycol; a process to make the temperature of the mixed material obtained from the above process to below the higher critical solution temperature to agglutinate the adsorbent; and a process to magnetically collect the adsorbent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
