PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diamond base sintered body having a multilayer integral structure having a conductive layer region and a non-conductive layer region and capable of being machined by electrical discharge.;SOLUTION: The diamond base sintered body having a multilayer integral structure is obtained by forming at least one conductive layer region in which binder phase components comprising at least one or more kinds of carbonates of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba or the multiple carbonates of two or more kinds thereof are melted, infiltrated and filled into gaps among boron-diffused diamond powder particles having boron diffused on the surface of the diamond powder particles and at least one non-conductive layer region in which the binder phase components are melted, infiltrated and filled in gaps among the diamond powder particles by 2-step sintering.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
