PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mechanically wash a heat exchanger having narrow clearance gaps. PSOLUTION: This washing tool W1 used for the heat exchanger has a group of pipes configured by arranging a number of pipes at intervals in the state where the plurality of pipes are arranged in line in the same direction, and narrow clearance gaps are respectively found between two adjacent pipe lines. It also has: a supporting plate 10 having a thickness and a length suitable to be inserted to the narrow clearance gap; and brushes 20 respectively having a linear body and a number of bristles radially disposed from the linear body as a center.
