P To allow an excavator to track easily in response to a line shape while opening a joint without damaging concrete and in case the joint is not opened to a designed opening dimension when the concrete caisson of a rectangular cross section passes through a curved drilled hole. PSOLUTION: Recess parts 4 into which a small jack can be arranged are formed respectively ON the vertical/horizontal end surfaces of the concrete caisson 1 in the longitudinal direction. When the joint is not opened and a jack is arranged in the recess part 4 and extended, the concrete caissons 1 placed in the longitudinal direction are pressed in the direction for leaving the caissons from each other to open the joint and causing the concrete caissons 1 in the longitudinal direction to be bent for tracking the excavator. Then, the method eliminates any surface chipping at concrete ends as compared with a conventional method for compulsive opening of the joint with a rock splitting implement and dispensing with repair work by mortar-finish after the completion of construction.
