PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-acid storage battery without any evaporation of an electrolytic solution or dissipation of electrolytic solution mist from a liquid vent plug, or in which decrease of the electrolytic solution due to gas generation or the like is suppressed in case different kinds of alloy exist in a cell, and in which, in case a strap part is exposed from an electrolytic solution face accompanying lowering of the electrolytic solution liquid face, a negative electrode plate is free from being disconnected by corrosion generated between an ear part of the negative electrode plate and the negative electrode strap. PSOLUTION: The battery includes a positive electrode grid body and a negative electrode grid body made of a lead-calcium alloy and the liquid vent plug 20 attached to a liquid port 11 installed at a cap 10. A porous body 21 is attached in the middle of a gas exhaust route of the liquid port plug, a lead alloy of a strap 5 to join the negative electrode plate 2 does not contain antimony but contains tin, and lead-tin alloy layers are formed on both surfaces of the electrode plate ear part 2a.
