PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the horizontal yield strength of a pile while reducing the number of processes.;SOLUTION: A pile follower 20 includes: an outer frame body 21 carrying out expanding excavation of the ground G; a guide 22 holding the substantially coincident state of the pile center of the pile 10 to be constructed and the rotational center of the pile follower 20; and a pile engaging part engaged with a part of the pile 10. The pile 10 is buried, and at the same time, a space for soil improvement is formed around the pile 10 in the ground. The outer frame body 21 is a hopper capable of storing a soil improving material 30, and the hopper is preferably provided with an outflow hole of the soil improving material 30. It is also preferable to provide an opening/closing cover 24 for opening/closing the outflow port, receiving resistance in the ground when the pile follower 20 is jacked into the ground and pulled out of the ground.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
