PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make two explorations of an in-tunnel-pit elastic wave speed and in front of a tunnel working face from an elastic wave generated by every blast as the seismic center accompanying an advance of excavation of a tunnel.;SOLUTION: An exploration method includes: receiving, measuring, and recording by a recording device an elastic wave generated by a blast at a working face as the seismic center each time working face excavation is performed; extracting a direct reaching wave from the elastic wave recorded by the recording device each time working face excavation is performed; estimating an elastic wave speed distribution in a tunnel pit of the working face on the basis of the direct reaching wave; extracting a reflected wave from the elastic wave recorded by the recording device each time working face excavation is performed; estimating a reflection point and a reflecting surface on the basis of the reflected wave; and estimating a geologic structure in front of the working face from a distribution pattern of the reflection point and reflecting surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
