PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a plastic spectacle lens that solves a problem arising in regard to the peripheral edge of the lens when manufacturing the spectacle lens by molding. PSOLUTION: A first mold 12 of circular outer peripheral shape having a first lens surface molding surface 15 for forming the object side front face of the lens of meniscus shape with positive dioptric power, and a second mold 13 of circular outer peripheral shape having a second lens surface molding surface 17 for forming the eyeball side rear face of the lens, are arranged facing with a predetermined space, and the outer peripheries of the first and second molds 12, 13 are surrounded with an adhesive tape 14 to form a lens matrix. Recesses 16 are formed at the peripheral edge of the first lens surface molding surface 15, in positions opposed by 180°. An injection needle is stuck into the adhesive tape 14 to fill the inside of a cavity with a molding material for molding the lens, and heating is carried out to obtain the lens formed with bulging parts corresponding to the recesses 16 at the edge side parts.
