Eyeblink measuring device and eyeblink measurement method

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blinking measuring apparatus and a blinking measuring method having excellent reliability. PSOLUTION: The blinking measuring apparatus 1 determines the biological condition of a subject to be measured on the basis of blinking movement of the subject to be measured. The blinking measuring apparatus comprises a photographing section 5 for photographing the eye of the subject to be measured and an eyelid opening/closing measuring section 7 which calculates a first characteristic amount regarding continuous voluntary blinking movement on the basis of an eye image photographed by the photographing section 5 and determines the biological condition of the subject to be measured on the basis of the calculated first characteristic amount. Because the blinking measuring apparatus 1 evaluates the continuous voluntary blinking movement which often reflects the biological condition of the subject to be measured by calculating the characteristic amount of the continuous voluntary blinking movement, the apparatus determines the biological condition of the subject more accurately compared to a determination on the basis of a characteristic amount of a single voluntary blinking movement.
