PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a first and second order temperature-compensated quartz resonator.;SOLUTION: The core of the bodies 3, 5, 7 of a temperature-compensated resonator is formed from a plate formed at a cut angle (θ') in a quartz crystal determining first and second order temperature coefficients (α, β, α', β').
