PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact pulse amplification device having a failure or anomaly detection function.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, the pulse amplification device having a failure or anomaly detection function includes: a pulse amplifier 11 for amplifying an input pulse for output; a pulse amplifier control circuit 12 connected to an input terminal of the pulse amplifier 11 to form a control signal to operate the pulse amplifier 11 synchronized with the pulse input into the pulse amplifier 11 and input the control signal into the input terminal; an averaging circuit 17 connected to the pulse amplifier control circuit 12 to convert the control signal into a continuous wave; a comparison circuit 18 connected to the averaging circuit 17 to compare a voltage Vgave of the continuous wave output from the averaging circuit 17 with a threshold voltage Vs; and an alarm device 23 connected to the comparison circuit 18 to detect a failure in the pulse amplifier 11 or an anomaly in the pulse amplifier control circuit 12 according to a differential voltage (Vgave-Vs) output from the comparison circuit 18.
