PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installing method of OPGW when replacing the old one, with no necessity of arranging a plurality of places to set engines and drums, as well as with little possibility of giving the OPGW a bending load.;SOLUTION: An installation method of OPGW comprising: a step of setting an engine 12 at the start point or the end point of an installation section 10 of OPGW; a step of setting a first metal wheel 14a for OPGW capable of transporting OPGW20a, 20b, 20c and a first wire 31 to a plurality of steel towers 11 within the installation section 10, and setting a metal wheel 15 for wire capable of transporting a second wire 30 or setting a second metal wheel 14b for OPGW capable of transporting OPGW and the second wire 30; a step of installing the first wire 31 along a first transportation path 18 which is prepared throughout the installation section 10 and installing the second wire 30 along a second transportation path 19 which is prepared throughout the installation section 10; and a step of connecting each OPGW one by one to the first wire 31 stretched along the first transportation path 18, then winding up the first wire 31 by the engine 12 to install each OPGW one by one using the second wire 30.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
