PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber composite overhead earth-wire suitable for an overhead distribution line, ensuring low cost, long-term reliability and high handling workability. ;SOLUTION: A spacer 3 with three spiral grooves 3 formed on the periphery thereof is made of steel, and each groove 4 houses an optical fiber 5. Furthermore, a protection tube 6 concealing the external surface of the steel spacer 3 is also made of steel.
