PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod having a faucet-joining structure easy for securing the deflection rigidity of a joining member. PSOLUTION: The fishing rod is provided with that the front and rear rod poles 10, 20 are joined with a joining member 30 by the faucet joining; the joining member is the member having ≥2 layers 30A, 30B, 30C consisting of a fiber-reinforced synthetic resin material having the reinforcing fibers oriented in the longitudinal direction of the joining member, as to the joining member, by comparing the predetermined inside layer 30A with the predetermined outside layer 30B having the reinforcing fibers oriented in the longitudinal direction; the outside layer side has a higher density and an equivalent or a larger longitudinal elastic modulus as to the reinforcing fibers oriented in the longitudinal direction, and the outside layer is installed continuously from the one end 30E1 side of the joining member to the other end 30E2 side.
