PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package preparation support device, package preparation support method, and program capable of reducing preparer's labor for preparing a package by providing a support in consideration of a shape of the package in preparation of the package for merchandise. PSOLUTION: The package preparation support device 1 includes: an area display data preparation unit 3 for determining a shape of a block copy draft to serve as an original for a package according to a shape of merchandise, and preparing data for displaying on a display screen an area corresponding to the shape of the block copy draft; a title information data preparation unit 4 for preparing data for displaying title information within the area; an essentials data preparation unit 5 for preparing data for displaying, within the area, essentials corresponding to the kind of merchandise for which the package is prepared among those essentials that are registered for each kind of merchandise and must be written on a package; and a data output unit 8 for outputting, as the block copy draft, data for specifying an area with the title information and essentials displayed therein.
