PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood purifier capable of eliminating the need for the connecting work of the distal end of an artery side blood circuit and the distal end of a vein side blood circuit and preventing liquid from remaining in the blood circuit, and to provide a liquid discharge method inside a blood circuit in the blood purifier. PSOLUTION: The blood purifier includes a control means 8 for discharging liquid in a blood flow path and the blood circuit through a dialysate discharge line Lb to the outside by making the liquid pressure on the dialysate flow path side of a dialyzer 3 lower than the liquid pressure on a blood flow path side, and introducing air from the distal end of the artery side blood circuit 1 or air from the distal end of the vein side blood circuit 2 and replacing it with the liquid in the blood flow path and the blood circuit by turning a solenoid valve V1 or a solenoid valve V2 to an open state.
