PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic file management method of preventing an artificial mistake in electronic file operation. PSOLUTION: The electronic file management method includes, for example, an electronic file name list generation and display step of generating an electronic file name list and outputting the electronic file name list to a display part; an electronic file name selection step of selecting an electronic file name out of electronic file names included in the electronic file name list; and a file operation determination step of acquiring an electronic file corresponding to the electronic file name from a folder when acquiring file operation instruction information instructing the electronic file to be moved or copied to other folder which is corresponding to the selected electric file name, acquiring folder management information on other folder from a memory, and determining whether to perform operation corresponding to the file operation instruction information based upon client information included in the acquired electronic file and client information included in the folder management information.
