PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform display in which a red component of a video signal for display is emphasized according to a distance between the eyes of an observer and a display means for displaying a video of a video display device in an underwater environment.;SOLUTION: The video display device determines whether or not the video display device is in the underwater environment, and when it is determined that the video display device is in the underwater environment, the video display device determines a color temperature correction value for correcting red component attenuation corresponding to the distance between the eyes of the observer and a video display part 9 of the video display device of the video signal for display.
