P To detect progress of corrosion without spending time and effort even when the corrosion of a metal member contained in a structure rapidly progresses. PSOLUTION: According to a method for monitoring progress of corrosion of a part to monitor in the structure including the part to monitor composed of metal members, when the corrosion progresses and a part where stress reacting in the part to monitor exceeds allowable stress of the metal member earlier than the other parts is identified as a part to monitor (STEP 3), and progress of corrosion of the identified part to monitor is monitored.
