Pharmaceutical preparations with a basis of extracts of baccharis trimera and the use of these agents in the preparation of terapu00cauticos for prevention and control of canine distemper. The present invention, for the technical sector therapeutic, is the use of orgu00e3nicos and alcoholic extracts of the aerial parts of baccharis trimera (Asteraceae) for the prevention and control of canine distemper (FOV).The composition 1 (based on the extract hexu00e2nico) and composition 2 (based on the ethanolic extract) were subjected to biological tests against CDV. The compositions 1 and 2 b. trimera showed antiviral activity. The composition 2 was that served in more than one stage of viral infection, preventing the virus cell binding, internalization and intracellular viral processes.The compositions 1 and 2 can be used as a medicine in formulations for oral use, separately or in combination.
