APPARATUS FOR USE IN A SEA DRILLING INSTALLATION, METHOD TO PRODUCE A SEA DRILLING INSTALLATION AND METHOD TO IDENTIFY AN IMPENDING INFLOW EVENT. These are devices and methods usable in drilling facilities that have a mud circuit to detect impending or ongoing inflow events that are provided. One apparatus includes a first sensor configured to measure an incoming sludge flow pumped into the well and a second sensor configured to measure a variation of a backflow sludge emerging from the well. The apparatus additionally includes a controller connected to the first sensor and the second sensor. The controller is configured to identify an impending or ongoing inflow event based on monitoring and comparing an input mud flow evolution as measured by the first sensor and an input mud flow evolution as measured by the first sensor and a return mud flow evolution as inferred from measurements received from the second sensor. Additionally, a third sensor may be included in the device to confirm the conclusion made by the controller before alerting the user that an influx has probably occurred.
