In the present invention, there is disclosed a compound, which is substantially similar in structure to a kahalide F of the general formula II but differs therefrom in the molecule linear portion. There is further disclosed a process for preparing compounds, which are substantially similar in structure to a kahalide F and which have useful biological activity. Also disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition containing this compound and being effective in the treatment of cancer.
