The invention includes an effective method of filtering water from a reservoir, where filtering a small volume of water, and not the entire amount of water from the reservoir; this method includes the following steps: (a) emitting ultrasonic waves into a body of water; (b) adding flocculant to water; (c) treating the bottom of the pond with a suction device that draws in a stream of water with flocculated particles and directs it to the exhaust manifold; (d) filtering the outlet stream of the suction device from the specified exhaust manifold; and (e) returning the filtered stream to the pond. The invention further encompasses a suction device used in said effective filtering method.
