The invention relates to compositions and methods for improving a double immunization strategy that elicits an immune response in a patient, which includes a humoral immune response and a cellular immune response of both CD4 and CD8 T lymphocytes of the immune response, thereby providing a complete adaptive immune response of one or more antigens. Thus, the described methods are useful for treating or preventing (i.e., reducing the likelihood or risk of occurrence) various diseases, disorders and conditions, such as cancer and infectious diseases, for which the induction of both a humoral immune response and a cellular immune response is desirable and useful.
