Disclosed is a material testing machine designed to assess compressive strength of materials and a method thereof. The machine is simple in construction and very economical. The machine uses the principle of impact force using a metal sphere to fall from different heights on the specimen under specified conditions rather than conventional material testing machine operating on compression force by a hydraulic lift. Further the machine can be easily caliberated for the testing and is very user friendly, compact and maintenance free. Fig 1..
