ISW Protocol works on single wire to send and receive the bits of data. ISW protocol works on predefined bits per second (bps) which are defined in the master and slave. In ISW communication ˜0™ is considered as low bit and ˜1™ is considered as high bit. High bit to low bit transition is considered as start (ST) bit, and from low bit to high bit transition is considered as stop (STOP) bit. Thepredefined time bps is divided into ˜N™ no. of times is scanning rate or frequency to read the bit. The predefined time bps is divided into ˜N™ numbers, which is the scanning rate or frequency of reading the bit. This helps to determine the bit value and eliminating noise present in the line of communication. As the scanning rate increases, accuracy also increases. In ISW communication readingand writing of the data is done through two different I/O pins or single I/O pin of the microcontroller. A pull-up resistor whose one end is connected to the ISW communication line and the other end is connected to DC power supply, which ranges from 3V to 50V. The idle state of the communication line is high.
