The present invention discloses a bio-based, biodegradable, non-toxic high temperature multipurpose grease formulation having high oxidative stability and process for preparation thereof. The process utilizes oxidatively stable palmolein oil and a vegetable oil as base fluids. The grease formulation of the present invention is usable in various segments including but not limited to industrial, agriculture/farming equipment, and forestry applications.
