The present invention relates to a glycopeptide antibiotic composition comprising glycosylated (A) and deglycosylated (B) forms of one glycopeptide antibiotic wherein A: glycosylated glycopeptide antibiotic selected from teicoplanin or vancomycin, derivatives of any of these; and combinations thereof; and B: deglycosylated glycopeptide antibiotic selected from teicoplanin or vancomycin, derivatives of any of these; and combinations thereof. the content of B being 14% to 73% (w/w) of the total content of glycosylated and deglycosylated glycopeptides calculated as B/ (A+B) (w/w).
