CORROSION INHIBITOR FOR POLIDUCTS OF LOW-CARBON STEEL, FOR TRANSPORTING DIFFERENT HYDROCARBON FLOWS.

The poliducts of ferrous metal such as API-X52 and SAE 1010 suffer from corrosion caused by chemical compounds found in the different transported flows, such as H2S, CO2, O2, organic acids and soluble salts. These agents may be presented in an individual or combined manner; on the other hand, a single poliduct may be used for transporting different flows of hydrocarbons, such as: gasoline, diesel, MTBE, etc., this may change the corrosive agents; the operation changes of the poliduct may also complicate the problem. The present invention comprises a corrosion inhibitor for poliducts of low-carbon steel, which transport different fuels such as: gasoline, intermediate distillates and oxygenated compounds, these being characteristic products obtained from refineries or petrochemical processes. The composition has a new active based on imidazoline derivatives (glyoxalidines), containing two lateral chains; where the position 2, resulting from a saturated or unsaturated, lineal or branche d carboxylic acid of 6 to 20 carbon atoms, also has one or more alcohols in the hydrocarbonated chain thereof. On the other hand, in the position 1 there is an alkyl-amine of 2 to 4 carbon atoms, simultaneously having three hydrocarbonated linear chains derived from a carboxylic acid of 2 to 5 carbon atoms. The aforementioned molecules are diluted into a dissolvent or mixture thereof, which may be aromatic or alcohols, and acts as a dispersant vehicle reducing their concentration in a significant manner.
