598529 Disclosed is the use of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), or DHA-derived EPA incorporated into a glyceride, wherein said DHA, EPA or DHA derived EPA incorporated into a glyceride is obtained enzymatically; and wherein said DHA, EPA or DHA derived EPA is in a percentage by weight between 40 and 100% in relation to the total fatty acids; or wherein said DHA, EPA or DHA derived EPA is incorporated into an sn-2 position of the glyceride; for non-therapeutic nutritional use as a cellular antioxidant incorporated into a foodstuff to reduce cellular oxidative damage, excluding cellular oxidative damage associated with aging or physical exercise, such that cellular oxidative damage comprises the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Further disclosed is the use as defined above, wherein said foodstuff is administered to a subject affected by cellular oxidative damage, including wherein the cellular oxidative damage comprises: the shortening of DNA telomeres; or the premature cellular senescence.
