The invention relates to a process for preparing a fuel of reduced corrosive effect for Diesel engines. According to the invention, the process comprises the catalytic transesterification of sunflower oil triglycerides in the presence of methanol, wherefrom there results, as a main product, a biodiesel fuel component which is additivated with 0.1% by weight tert-butyl amine, finally resulting in a fuel to be used as such or in admixture with gas oil, having a corrosion rate of a submerged stainless steel electrode of 0.207 E-3 mm/year and physical and chemical properties in accordance with the standard EN 14214.
