Disclosed are substituted 2-alkylseleno-5-carbamoyl-6-methyl-3-cyanopyridines comprising alkylseleno group in second position of pyridine ring. Cyanoselenoacetamide as active reactant is used for synthesis thereof, this enables to avoid multistage synthesis methods. The disclosed compounds having potential pharmacological action and other important properties can be reproduced in laboratory scale or at chemico-pharmaceutical enterprises using standard equipment and synthesized from accessible initial reactants. The products prepared have sufficient purity for analysis and further use in the synthesis of other chemical compounds, structure thereof is proved by means of infrared or NMRH spectroscopy, elementary analysis.
